We can build a healthier future.
Dear friends and Family,
For me, this has been a year of change and growth. My transition from corporate life to a small AIDS service agency serve my community by working for AIDS Services of Austin was risky, thrilling, challenging… and one off the best things I have done.
I am proud to work for an agency that has a mission to stop the spread of HIV and improve the lives of those living with HIV. We are doing it in so many ways from implementing prevention strategies to helping clients understand their health, from giving out condom packets to providing fresh food tailored to a client’s diet. We do it with a staff that is dedicated to the cause and keeps the clients and mission in mind.
I urge you to join me to build a healthy future. Join me on the walk, come and see some great music, give a gift, and pass this on to a friend! All efforts will be rewarded.
My Personal Blog
Holy moly! Contributions to my efforts are beyond my expectations. I will stick t this goal- but not sure how to go further.
How about this:
3 drinks in a bar: $15-$30
Dinner out with friends: $30-$100
Movie at a beer at the Alamo Theater: $30
A bottle of wine: $10-$50
Hopdoddy for one: $20
$20 feeds a person for a week from the Helping Hands Food Pantry
$50 pays for a week of Life saving medications for a mother of two.
$30 pays for 100 condom packets, distributed for free, preventing HIV transmission
Consider giving up one from the top list and donate to my walk.
It will make you feel better- and i know it will make someone else feel better.
It might even save a life- true story!

the 1st 24 hours
I raised $750 in the 1st 24 hours. I am astonished at the out pouring of support. I have raised the bar. My goal went from $500 to $1000 and now $1500. We shall see how it goes.
