Directions and Parking
Palm Park is located at the South I-35 frontage road and E 3rd St. If you choose to drive, there is parking available around Palm Park. There is no charge at the street meters on Sunday.
There is paid parking at the Austin Convention Center Garage.
Alternative Transportation
Plan your trip with CapMetro. The MetroRail stops at 4th Street and Trinity. Buses 4, 17, 21, and 22 all have stops near Palm Park.
Use ridesharing services, carpool with friends, or bike to the park. Bike racks will be available.
Walk Route
The Walk is approximately 2.75 miles. It will take about an hour to complete. We will start at Palm Park, walk North on Congress Ave, around the Texas State Capitol, and then South on Congress Ave back to park.
Food
Several food trucks will be set up all day at Palm Park.
Dog-Friendly Walk
We welcome your canine pal as long as they are kept on leash and are friendly to other dogs and children. Dog owners should bring enough supplies to clean up after their pets, especially along the Walk route and at the Park.
Donations
You can continue to receive online donations on your personal fundraising Web page until October 31, 2016. You can mail checks, money orders, and matching gift forms to the AIDS Walk office all year round. You can also submit donations at the Registration tent on the day of the walk starting at 11:30 AM.
Donations can be mailed to:
AIDS Walk Austin
PO Box 4874
Austin, TX 78765
Please be sure to clearly indicate the name of the walker or team who should receive credit for the donations you collect.
How donations are put to work
All funds raised support the services provided by AIDS Services of Austin (ASA) and 10 other local AIDS Service Organizations throughout Travis County. Sharing agencies receive the donations directed to their team. 83% of funds raised will go directly to programs.
